CBU really just felt like home when I walked on the campus. The small, cozy atmosphere and friendly faces was what made my decision. Everyone I met was genuinely nice, and was willing to answer any questions I had about CBU.
Never let anyone discourage you from following your dreams. Work hard, and you'll get there. I am a first generation college student. So, it was a lot to learn- how to apply for FAFSA and to college, how to study, who to go to for help on campus. Use the resources provided on campus, and take advantage of them. You're not alone when you're at CBU. You'll make friends, have advisors and mentors- ask them for help.
Welcome Weekend is by far the most exciting yet stressful weekend. It is jam-packed with fun events like movies on the lawn, karaoke, and capture the flag every year! But, if you like things that are much more calm and laid back- come check out STARS (Students Tackling Autism Related Syndromes). I've been in STARS for 2 years now, and it's honestly my favorite club I'm a part of. We've made stress balls, played uno, and even had a karaoke night. STARS helps me de-stress from all of my school work, and is also where I have made many friends.
